PROPERTIES
Anazol is a synthetic 5-nitroimidazole derivative with antiprotozoal and antibacterial activity. Anazol is well absorbed after oral administration and its bioavailability approaches 100%. It appears in most body tissues and fluids and achieves concentrations similar to those in plasma. The majority of a dose of Anazol is excreted in the urine. Anazol is active against many organisms including Trichomonas vaginalis, Entamoeba histolytica, Bacteroides sp., Clostridium sp., Fusobacterium sp., Giardia lamblia, Peptococcus and Peptostreptococcus sp.
INDICATIONS
- Trichomoniasis, non-specific vaginitis.
- Intestinal and hepatic: amoebiasis.
- Giardiasis.
- Vincent’s infection (acute ulcerative gingivitis).
- Anaerobic bacterial infections.
- Anazol is used to eradicate H.pylori in peptic ulcer patients with Other products.

DOSAGE AND ADMINISTRATION
To be given orally.
Anazol dosage for trichomoniasis
Anazol dosage for Non-specific vaginitis
500 mg twice daily for 7 days. Spouse Should treated concurrently.
Anazol dosage forIntestinal and hepatic amoebiasis
Anazol dosage for Giardiasis
Anazol dosage for Anaerobic bacterial infections
Anazol dosage for eradication of H.pylori
250 mg four times a day in combination with other products.
CONTRAINDICATIONS
- Hypersensitivity to Metronidazole.
- During the first trimester of pregnancy.

SIDE EFFECTS
Side effects are rare and usually mild in nature. These side effects may include gastrointestinal disturbances (e.g. nausea, diarrhea, metallic taste in the mouth), headache, vertigo and skin rashes.
OVERDOSAGE
In case of overdose, management should be symptomatic and supportive.
Storage Condition
Store at room temperature (below 25 degrees).
