Therefore, most women wishing to end early pregnancy,use misoprostol only (by herself at home) as a method of pregnancy termination. Misoprostol, in Egypt,  is available at a concentration of 200 micrograms, in three brands: ❶ Cytotec, ❷ Misotac, and ❸ Misoprost.

How do I use the abortive Misoprostol

Step by step instructions- taking the abortion pill at home

Step one: Put 4 tablets of Misoprostol (Brand name: Cytotec) in the mouth between the cheeks and the gums( keep the pills in your mouth until dissolved- usually within 15 minutes- recommended not to swallow the pills , just swallow any remains after 15 to 20 minutes with a glass of water). at the same time: Insert 2 tablets deeply into the vaginal canal, as far as you can.- then wait for 3 hours.

Step two:( after 3 hours from the first dosage) Put another 4 tablets of Misoprostol (Brand name: Cytotec) in the mouth between the cheeks and the gums. then wait for 3 hours.

Last step: (after 3 hours from the second dosage), Put the last 4 tablets of Misoprostol Cytotec) in the mouth between the cheeks and the gums. then wait for 72hours without any further action.

What to expect after taking Abortion Pill

Firstly, you will feel nausea, sweating, little transient fever with shivering and feeling a little faint(all these symptoms are normal and going to disappear by time, and require no action from your side). Diarrhea is a common side effect, which is not dangerous, and will go away by time,  require no action from your side.

Lower abdominal cramps, lower back pain, sometimes pain in the upper thigh (if you cannot afford the pain at this stage , you can take pain killer pills, if you need to, e.g. Cataflam 50mg tablets, or Ibuprofen 600 tablets).
