Vicksolytic syrup- NOT USED FOR CHILDREN BELOW 6 YEARS.

ACTIVE INGREDIENT Each 100 mL contains: 

  • Dextromethorphan hydrobromide   200 mg.
  • Guaifenesin 2 gm.

    • INACTIVE INGREDIENTS: Sacralose , sorbitol 70 % , Sodium benzoate , menthol crystal , sodium chloride , glycerin , peach liquid flavor , sunset yellow (FD&C yellow no 6) Polyethylene Glycol 400 , Purified water.

    Indications

  • temporarily relieves cough DUE TO MINOR throat & bronchial irritation.
  • helps loosen phlegm (mucus) and thin bronchial secretions to make cough more protective.

    • WARNINGS

  • Do not use if you are now taking a prescription monoamine oxidase inhibitor (MAOI) (certain drugs for depression, psychiatric or emotional conditions, or Parkinson’s disease), or for two weeks after stopping the MAGI drug. If you do not know if your prescription drug contains an MA0I, ask a doctor or pharmacist before taking this product. 
  • NOT USED FOR CHILDREN BELOW 6 YEARS 
  • GLUCOSE WARNING: VICKSOLYTIC Syrup contains GLUCOSE. patients with rare hereditary problems of GLUCOSE intolerance, glucose-galactose malabsorption or sucrase-isomaltase insufficiency should not take this medicine.

    • Ask a doctor before use if you have:

  •  a cough accompanied by excessive phlegm (mucus) .
  • persistent or chronic cough with smoking, asthma, chronic bronchitis, or emphysema.

    • Stop use and ask a doctor if:

  • a cough lasts more than 7 days, comes back, or occurs with fever, rash, or headache that lasts , These could be signs of a serious condition.
  • Hypersensitivity to any ingredients.

    • If pregnant or breast-feeding, ask a health professional before use. 

    Dosage of administration  

  • take every 4 hours or as directed by the doctor.
  • do not take more than 6 doses in 24 hours 
  • Adults : 10 mL (2 teaspoonfuls).
  • Children from 6 to 12 years: 5 ml (1 teaspoonful).
  • Children below 6 years : Don’t use

  • VICKSOLYTIC : Oral Solution is a clear orange syrup.
  • Storage: Keep tightly closed. Store at temperature not exceeding 30° C.
